Since opening our doors in 2006, Bui Sushi has always been about more than food. It’s about connection — the guests who gather here, the team who shows up every day, and the community that has supported us through every chapter.
We are deeply grateful to be a standing pillar in this community. Having survived the challenges of the Palisades Fire, we feel incredibly fortunate to have our doors open and our home intact. It is a privilege to continue serving our neighbors and friends, sharing the resilience and spirit that defines Malibu.

Our Food Philosophy
Our menu is rooted in a respect for quality, freshness, and balance.
We source premium fish from Japan and Hawaii whenever possible, allowing the ingredients to guide each dish. From sushi and sashimi to warm specialties and shareable plates, everything is prepared with care — honoring traditional techniques while embracing creativity and seasonal inspiration.
